Unfolding engine has a sophisticated bone system. In the future I plan to add animations. But right now it has the ability to link statics together using bones.
Tutorial (Making your first mesh)

Creating Structures / Characters Guide
Heres a step by step guide to build structures
Select a static in the static box on the left
Drag it upwards from the white triangle in the center of the screen, selecting either the bottem of the bone middle or top.
Continue adding on bones / other statics until you have the structure you want
If you want to add more sprites to each layer click on the bone you want to add more sprites to, these could be eyes or different decorative effects. After you click on it, you'll need to resize the window to show the other options
The sprite layers will appear when the window reaches a certain size
Pressing +1 add new sprite layer will create a new sprite layer.
You can apply different settings to the sprite
Once you have done that, press Save on the top Right and
you can layer sprites on top each other with their unique properties and effects.
Offset X / Offset Y controls the x and y position in relation to the bone. Size is the general size of the sprite multiplied by the bones size. Scale Y just controls the size in the vertical access. Rotation changes the image angle in relation to the bones image angle
Moving bones [Moving Tab]
The mesh creator has two modes which are located on the top left.
[Move Parts] [Create Body Parts]
Selecting move parts allow you to move the individual bones in a more flexible style
An example of the move parts tab selected in the bone maker
Rotate : Rotating moves the bones on a rotation basis only and doesn't apply scaling and affects the angle of every other bone after it
Move : Can apply scaling or rotation depending on where the bone is selected. Experiment to find the best position for you.
